One of the best prayers you can pray for any type situation.
You know its a shame that one of the most powerful prayers we can say when in trouble, hardships or crisis is one of the most taken for granted prayers today. Almost every Sunday believers recite the Lords Prayer as if they were robots, with no feeling, no meaning or reverence for the words they are saying. Yet, this is the prayer that Jesus asked us to pray! We have reduced it to a routine recital!
If you want to see real change in your life here is what you do. Every morning when you get up say out loud the Lords Prayer over your day and watch how things begin to turn around for you. When you say it don't act like a robot and just repeat the words with no reverence for God. Say this prayer with conviction!

The Week of Monday January 30, 2012
Last summer I started a new sacred home altar in my living room. Piece by piece I am adding the things that represent me to God and show my reverence to him. I just wish it didn't take so long, I'm ready to see it pulled together and complete. Yet, I know that sacred things like a home altar takes time and planning. Hopefully this summer I will have mine complete. Usually a altar would not take this much time but I am very picky about the things that I'm placing on it.
Back in 2006 I had a sacred altar in my fireplace, my very first one and it had the sweetest aroma about it. I can't tell you how many prayers, tears and moments of joy that altar seen back in those days. Sadly, our house burned down and we moved to another house. I miss that altar but time goes on.
Some people might not need an altar in their home but I find that it helps my spiritual growth. Knowing that I have a sacred space in my home that is dedicated to God where I and my family members can turn to in prayer, makes a huge difference. If you have children in your home I think it helps them to appreciate God.
