The year 2012 will mark the completion of the cycle of transition that the world has been under since 2009. On the physical side it will mean the perfection of global plans in which a few will dominate the social and economic destinies of the world. Just as in Revelations 13:2 it speaks of how evil consolidates its power giving its authority, strength and influence to one entity called the beast, in 2012 we will see the consolidation of world power into the hands of a few. Centralization and consolidation are the hallmarks for 2012 but it is nothing new to this world we have seen it before. Ancient Babylon, Rome, Persia, Egypt and many more all succeeded in consolidating power for the benefit of a few ambitious and greedy individuals. However, right at the moment when they were prepared to propel themselves into global rulers God would cause something to happen to disturb their plans. The same tyranny that raised them up into mighty nations is the same power that casts them down into self destruction.   It is true if we don’t learn from history we are doomed to repeat its mistakes and in 2012 another mistake is coming to fruition.

Many are predicting slow growth for 2012 but this is only a side effect of global rule come to completion within the financial sector. Like a giant bathtub they have placed the stopper in the drain at precisely the right level and exactly where they want the wealth of the world to be and in 2012 they will remove the stopper so that the water flows concertedly into their waiting coffers. Slow growth for some is fast bucks for others. There can be no significant growth within nations and regions because the tide is turned against them. Europe will take a big economic hit in 2012 while the U.S. will sink even further than anticipated. The rising star of China will begin to fade as it loses control over its own affairs but even with this it will remain a strong force to be reckoned with in world affairs.

A Path to World War III begins in 2012

The U.S. and other nations are preparing to initiate economic sanctions against Iran for its nuclear ambitions. President Obama has ruled out military strikes in favor of tougher sanctions with a goal of reducing Iran’s oil revenue. If the sanctions go through and oil revenues are reduced it will cripple the Iranian economy which in turn will shake up the powerful Iranian clerical regime. The U.S. is banking on Saudi Arabia stepping up its oil production to cover the loss of Iranian oil in the global demand. Iran see’s these coming sanctions as an act of war against it and is issuing threats of its own to hopefully stop the U.S. and its global allies from implementing the sanctions.

Iran has counter-threatened the U.S. and its allies that if the sanctions are implemented it will shut down the Strait of Hormuz. One fifth of the world’s oil supply sails through the narrow waterway on a daily basis. If Iran should blockade Hormuz it will hurt the entire world and here’s why:

• Persian Gulf exports already account for almost 70% of Asia’s energy needs. The economies of India and China would be thrown into chaos if the Persian Gulf oil which flows through the Strait of Hormuz should be cutoff.
• The U.S. and Europe would be cast into a deeper recession if not depression because their economies are already under stress and cannot afford higher oil prices.
• Iran’s Asian and Persian Gulf partnering nations could find themselves dragged into conflict with Iran which none want to do.

 In America in Prophecy 2009-2018 I warned how the current U.S. President would play a dangerous game and have to wait and see how things played out. This game of sanctions with Iran can turn into full scale war at any moment. A U.S. Navy spokeswoman has responded that “Anyone who threatens to disrupt freedom of navigation in an international strait is clearly outside the community of nations; any disruption will not be tolerated.” This statement is the same as a preamble to war. All along, it is the secret goal and intent of the U.S. and Europe to start a war with Iran under the misguided notion that it will lead to economic recovery in both the troubled economies. The whole purpose of bringing the troops home out of Iraq is to better prepare for redeployment to the Middle East in the very near future. The economic sanctions are nothing more than provocation and further justification for coming military action against Iran.

Protectionism and Deception

The year 2012 will see stark acts of protectionist actions by both developed and undeveloped nations. National leaders will be under immense pressure to from their citizens to look out for their own best interest and let the rest of the world fall apart on its own. Yet the global financial system is calling for nations to come together to solve many of the threats to the world economy. Leaders will have to find a way to appease their countrymen and abide by the global dictates which will require the usage of deception. Nations will promote distractions within their own nations with the assistance of corporate and state owned media. While the masses are focused on what is presumably a national debacle dirty deeds are being conducted and negotiated on real and threatening issues.

The G8 Summit in Chicago

For the first time since 1977 both the NATO and G8 summits will convene. This time the meetings will take place in Chicago in May.  Leaders from Canada, the European Commission, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Russia, the United Kingdom and the United States will be the central figures of this summit. Leaders of Brazil, China, India, Mexico and South Africa will be invited to attend certain portions of the summit. The heads of global organizations such as the African Union, CIS, International Atomic Energy Agency, International Energy Agency, United Nations, UNESCO, World Bank, IMF, WHO and World Trade Organization will also be invited to participate in certain parts of the summit.  It is expected that security will be a major challenge with the possibility of a terrorist attack highly likely. Yet, there is also the riotous rebellion of almost a million protestors converging upon the city. President Barack Obama’s longtime friend Mayor Rahm Emanuel sees it as a grand opportunity for the city of Chicago. There is an old saying “be careful what you ask for” which will come true for this 38^th summit as violence, disruption and discord among the members will be remembered long after it has ended.
